An amazing life shortened by Frontotemporal Dementia. (the same as Bruce Willis) One of the better biographies I've read in years. The price of this book is more than worth it, do yourself a favor and get your copy!

“I am homesick for heaven. I am a new creature and was made for His Kingdom and there is in me a longing to be there when the time is right. Until the time when He will take me home, I have the privilege and joy of carrying Christ to a lost and broken world.”

— Randy Thompson —

Randy Thompson, singer, songwriter and Christian recording artist, was passionate about sharing his faith at churches around the country. For nearly twenty years, his music and his lyrics, as well as his personal faith, changed lives all across America. This book is an extension of that passion—written in the three years before Randy and his wife Linda received the devastating diagnosis of his Frontotemporal Dementia.

As Randy himself writes, “This is a history of my experience of trusting God with my gifts and talents and believing He would provide for my ministry and my family. It is also a chance for me to remember all the ways I was used and all the ways God met me in the process of ministering…”

Before he began writing A Believer’s Journey, Randy spent several years as senior pastor of Open Door Fellowship Church in Phoenix, Arizona. But, toward the end of that time, something seemed to be wrong. Randy wasn’t who he once was.

Even so, he felt deeply that God wasn’t done with him. While grappling with the changes going on in his mind and in his life, he wrote with a sense of urgency—unaware he was in the early stages of the dementia that would be diagnosed in 2014. In those years, God inspired Randy to share his heart in a way that leaves his readers with no question of who Jesus is and what they needed to do to spend eternity in heaven with Him.

This book will change you. You will laugh, you will cry and above all, you will see Jesus in a way that you may not have seen before. You will want to meet Him and know Him and follow Him into a life of service and joy no matter what challenges you may be facing in life. Through his writing Randy urges you to put your trust in Him. It will be the greatest adventure you will ever know!

Randy is currently in a memory care facility.
He is peaceful, calm and easy going and dearly loved by the staff and caregivers
who love his music.
While he is unable to do concerts,
share Jesus, or write songs anymore,
the lyrics in his songs and the words in his book will live on long after he sees Jesus face-to-face.
